COSTA RICA ADVENTURE
OVERVIEW

Experience a little of what Costa Rica has to offer with this itinerary. Starting with some Classic Costa Rican sights and then a couple of days to relax on the beach. It will be just enough for you to long to return in the future.

ITINERARY
Day 1
After you arrive at the Costa Rican airport, a transfer will take you to La Fortuna for 2 nights. La Fortuna sits at the base of the Arenal Volcano. Small little town with a backdrop of the picture perfect volcano.
Day 2 – Arenal Area
Start off the day by enjoying beautiful views of the tropical rain forest by taking a canopy tour located at the base of the volcano. If you do not want to zip line, you can take a Sky Tram Gondola through the rainforest. You will see beautiful birds and butterflies in this magnificent tropical setting. Next on your list should be the La Fortuna waterfall. The waterfall is located just outside of town. You can swim, take pictures, or have a picnic.
Day 3 – La Fortuna – Monteverde
Travel by taxi boat across Lake Arenal, you will see views of the Volcano and Monteverde Mountains. Once you reach the other side of the lake you will board a bus to Monteverde. Often the clouds take on the form of fog, hovering over the upper canopy of the forest, so the sun has a hard time breaking through the thick veil of clouds. In the evening you can take a walk in the Curi-Cancha Reserve to learn about the nocturnal life in the jungle. You will hear a symphony of frogs and insects.
Day 4 – Monteverde
If you are up to the adventure, take a canyoning tour. It will start with a short walk, and once you reach the first water fall, the guide will give you the proper gear and explain how to rappel down the waterfall safely. Maybe you are looking for a little less adventure. You can take the Sky Walk, it is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the flora of the cloud forest at a slower pace. The suspension bridges vary in length, and offer different views.
Day 5-7- Monteverde-Guanacaste
A driver will transport you to the Guanacaste beach area where you can spend time relaxing on the beach. There are many activities that you can do while staying in this area. Diving, snorkeling, catamaran cruises, and fishing are just a few. You can be as laid back or as busy as you like.
